Breath Stretch: Practice

Breath stretching is an add-on to many Verbal Stretching activities. It involves verbally expanding and then contracting our expression.

In most Verbal Stretching, the Facilitator proposes 3 words to the Participant, who chooses the one they would like to explore.

After an initial invitation e.g. “What does X mean for you?”, the Breath Stretch consist of the following two questions:

1. “Is there anything else you’d like to share, or are you fine with that?”

2. “What’s the most important aspect for you?”

The participant is encouraged to formulate their “essence” in a maximum of three key words.

As with any stretch, there is no correct or incorrect answer, each participant simply expresses their truth of the moment.
